The purpose of Edwin's kindergarten classes is not only to provide English language education but also to provide an English environment for natural English conversation.

For kids under 6 years, language acquisition takes place naturally without the need for traditional classroom instruction.  Therefore, this is a great age for kids to begin learning English.  First language can be learnt from parents, teachers and friends through playing, chatting and repeating phrases over and over.  The kindergarten kids classes at Edwin have been set up to create a similar situation to this.

With the above points in mind, the classes are conducted only in English in a classroom with only the teacher and kids.  This allows us to provide a natural English learning environment for our students.

Class Curriculum

Our teachers follow a student-centered curriculum which takes into account the level and progress of our students.  Below are some examples of class curriculum content:

• Greetings

• New vocabulary and phrases practice

• Alphabet practice

• Enjoyable songs

• English games

• Activities - individual and group (e.g. crafts, painting, role-playing).
